Teleradiology Workflow, Explained: Assignment to Verified Report
How a structured teleradiology workflow moves a study from assignment through reporting to a verified, shared report.

Teleradiology lets a diagnostic centre or hospital send studies to a radiologist who may be reporting remotely. Done well, it needs more than just file transfer — it needs a workflow that tracks each case from assignment to a final, verified report.
A typical workflow looks like this:
- A new study arrives and is added to the worklist
- An assigner routes the case to an available radiologist
- The radiologist reviews the images in the viewer and drafts a report
- A verifier reviews and, where needed, requests a correction
- The final report is shared with the referring physician or patient
Each step benefits from clear status tracking, so administrators, radiologists and verifiers all know where a case stands without needing to chase it manually.
