How PACS Case Timeline Improves Radiology TAT

Turnaround time (TAT) is one of the most-watched numbers in any radiology operation, but improving it starts with visibility: you can't fix a bottleneck you can't see. A case timeline is what makes that visibility possible.

What the timeline captures

In BharatPACS, a case's timeline can show when the center uploaded the case, which radiologist it was assigned to, how many times it was reassigned and to whom, when the report moved for verification, how long verification took, when the report was finalized, and who finalized it.

Finding the actual bottleneck

With that level of detail, a slow case stops being a mystery. If TAT is slipping, the timeline shows whether the delay happened at assignment, during reporting, or in verification — instead of everyone assuming it was whichever step they're least familiar with. A case reassigned three times before it was picked up tells a very different story than one that sat in verification for two days.
